It all started in the Autumn of 2012, Lucy Aldridge was encouraged by Barry and Janine from The Bridgnorth Ukulele Band and they both went along to support the first session along with Paul Beard, Jeannette Thomas, Pam Collins and Janine's son Adam. Then it all went crazy.
At one stage there were around 50 Ukuleles, and now we have a regular group of over 30.Lucy left in July 2013 to ventures new in Devon, and now Maddy Brine and Jock Henderson lead the group with support from other members of The Brickaleles. Our name was suggested by Maddy and it stuck. We encourage all abilities and ages to come along and join in every Tuesday evening at 7pm. Our age ranges from 7 years upwards. Our aim is to bring smile to peoples faces and join in at some of our charity events.
There are some videos on You Tube for you to have a look at and if you live in Shrewsbury or nearby villages, you will be made more than welcome by all our members. Ant and Rachel serve lovely food at The Bricklayer's Arms if you fancy getting down there a little earlier before we start. We all look forward to seeing you.
ps Thank you to Susie for creating our web site.
